What originally drew me to Integrated Awareness?:

About 25 years ago, I graduated from group therapy, got my blue belt in Aikido, and read a lot in what was then called psychoneuroimmunology. I wanted to continue exploring all these areas. Imagine my relief and delight to discover a teacher who also knew that emotions, energy, brain, and body were connected. I signed up for the first year's training after a three-day workshop.

These days, I’m more often tuned in to my body and internal states, so I can notice patterns that get me in trouble and find other choices, like silence instead of saying the habitual thing, or directing my attention to the sensation of my feet on the ground, or challenging a familiar story I tell myself along the lines of “I’m not good enough.” With a heart less guarded, I’m more available to letting beauty have its way with me.

A description of my current services:

My respectful lively interest in what is going on with the person, my willingness to be guided by the guest’s field, my gratitude for a spontaneous sense of the sacred when it arises. Where does energy flow easily? Where are the blocks, their character, their connections with each other? What would this part like: micro-movement exploration? Steady presence? A specific color? Non-verbal or verbal acknowledgment of an emotional charge? What?

Most people find a sense of deep relaxation often leading to an altered state of consciousness. Some shed buckets of stress even though the stressor still exists, like an impending operation or chronic physical pain. They feel expanded and grounded.

I like working with people who are self-responsible.
