Both brain and mind respond intensely to facial expressions, words and gestures (body language).
The brain alone also recognizes the accompanying energy and feelings. By doing so automatically, it has deeper insight into present reality and the degree of truth in our communications… and whether they are truly about our self or a projection from/onto another.
This also makes previously “wasted” energy available for new purposes.
Lacking any direct sensory input, our minds operate exclusively on the basis of models and beliefs derived from the meanings assigned to those same prior experiences and to their value laden predictions for the future – energy consumptive!
